Little Kulala Lodge is located in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve. Kulala can be translated to "sleep".
Accommodation at the lodge includes 11 climate-controlled thatched kulalas. Each kulala has its own private plunge pool, and both indoor and outdoor showers. All the kulalas also have rooftop skybeds that are the perfect place for guests to do a little stargazing.There is also an entertainment area including a library, wine cellar, craft boutique, lounge and dining areas.
Guests can experience the amazing star-shaped dunes of Sossusvlei by utiilising Kulala reserve's private gate.
There is desert-adapted wildlife in the area such as ostriches, springbok and gemsbok as well as the larger carnivores such as the spotted hyena, the brown hyena and even the infamous cheetah. There is also a wide range of insects, reptiles and rodents.
Guests can go on exciting nature drives through the wilderness reserve to get a more up close look at the wildlife, there are also walking trails including the black mountain trail, not to mention visits to sossusvlei and sesriem. For an extra charge, guests can go on balloon safaris to take in the magnificent sand dunes and desert from a unique vantage point and are welcomed with a champagne breakfast at their landing site.
